Event Details
Dignity is more important to the human spirit than wealth”
Continue the celebration of dignity at our November salon. Enjoy refreshing cocktails (20% off!), inspiring company, and thought provoking conversation.
Content for discussion includes the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Nobel Prize Winner Amartya Sen’s “Growth and other concerns”, and Jacqueline Novogratz’s (CEO-founder of AcumenFund) TED talk on escaping poverty.
Salons are a time-honored forum for discussion and exchange of ideas. CHICAGO+acumen is continuing this tradition by hosting a monthly series of salons inspired by the values and principles of Acumen Fund. There are no right or wrong answers and we’re not trying to solve problems by the end of each event. The purpose of the salon is simply to have a great conversation with a diverse group of dynamic people. CHICAGO+acumen leadership team members will help guide the conversation around our themes.
